Amvac’s Regulatory Affairs Team is responsible for registering and defending the company’s products at the U.S. EPA and other regulatory bodies worldwide. The Regulatory Team develops and implements registration strategies to ensure that the Company's products are in compliance with U.S. EPA, state, and international regulations. The Regulatory Team also manages a series of activities including toxicology and environmental testing, and risk analysis as part of the product defense and development portfolios.
Ian Chart
Director of Regulatory Affairs
As Vice President and Director of Regulatory Affairs, Mr. Chart leads the company's effort to register and defend the company's products at EPA and other regulatory bodies worldwide. Mr. Chart is also Managing Director of AMVAC Chemical UK, Ltd. Prior to joining AMVAC, he was the Toxicology Manager of ICI Zeneca Agrochemicals for 12 years and Senior Regulatory Manager, covering worldwide regulations for 10 years. Mr. Chart was educated at the Metropolitan University of Manchester and he is a Fellow of the Institute of Biochemical Sciences.
Jon Wood
Director of Registrations
Jon Wood is responsible for the implementation of domestic product registration strategies and ensures that the Company's products are in compliance with U.S. EPA and state regulations. Prior to joining AMVAC, Wood was ENTEK Corporation's Registration Manager, and Senior Research Scientist with UNOCAL's Agricultural Chemicals Research Group, where he was employed for 15 years. Jon received his Bachelors of Science degree in Zoology from California State University, Long Beach, and his Masters of Business Administration degree from California Polytechnic University, Pomona.
Ann Manley
Director of Toxicology
As Director of Toxicology, Ms. Manley manages a series of activities including toxicology testing and toxicology development strategies, risk analysis and human exposure/biomontoring studies. Prior to joining AMVAC, she was employed for 18 years by ICI companies in the United States and England in similar roles. Ms. Manley was awarded Diplomat of Royal College of Pathologist in Toxicology and received her M.Sc. in Toxicology in Birmingham, England. She received her Honors in Pharmacology/Pathology from Ewell College, London.
Ann Taylor
Senior Regulatory Affairs Manager
Ann Taylor is Manager of the UK office and Senior Regulatory Affairs Manager. The UK office is responsible for obtaining product registrations world-wide, outside the USA, Mexico and Canada. Prior to joining AMVAC in 1995, Ann worked for the UK regulatory authority, the Pesticides Safety Directorate as Senior Scientific Officer. Ann has an Honours degree in Botany, and an M.Sc. in Crop Protection (Weed Science) from the University of London, Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine.
